The Goodland Fire Department consists of:

• one full-time paid employee (Fire Chief)

• fifteen (15) volunteer firefighters

The Goodland Fire Department provides:

• fire suppression

• fire prevention

• inspection

• rescue

• hazardous materials response

The Department has a full line of fire-fighting vehicles including:

• three (3) pumper trucks

• two (2) rescue units

• one (1) hazardous materials unit

• one (1) aircraft rescue and fire-fighting  (ARFF) vehicle 

• All units have a full line of equipment on board

On average, the department responds to one hundred (100) calls per year.

The Fire Department meets on the first and third Mondays of each month for training. 

 The department is a member of the Firefighters Relief Association.

The City's Fire Rating is now at an ISO 5
